Today we turned in our drafts for the process analysis papers.
Our lead-in to the day's reading of speak was a journal write addressing the prompt: Write about a time when you were unsure of the "rules" of communication (a time when you didn't know what to say). I was impressed with the ideas that students shared with the class in our discussion after the write.
Today's reading: up to page 41
The last act of the class was submit our top three characters from the book that we would want to have a conversation with. On Monday we will begin looking at the "Speak Conversations" project in more detail.
